Tennessee Update

March 8, 2010

The last Sunday of February, Lighthouse Baptist Church called me to be their interim pastor.  As a result, that afternoon I departed for Michigan to collect the family and pack our bags for the move down.   After a quick turn around at home, we arrived in Selmer Friday afternoon.  We are in the process of getting settled into a house and beginning the work of the ministry here.   Lighthouse Baptist is a small church plant, with a handful of families making up its core membership.   The church has been able to rent a facility on the edge of town with frontage on the main highway.  The potential for growth in the church is very good and there is a real need in the community for this work.  We will be focusing our efforts on increasing the outreach of the church, finalizing some of the official church documents and strengthening the extant group of believers.   We greatly appreciate your prayers for us and for Lighthouse Baptist as we endeavor to build this church for the glory of God.
