The Power of Positive Thinking

For many years much has been said about the power of positive thinking. Motivational speakers from all circles, sects, religions and beliefs have promoted the great benefits of thinking positive thoughts. To understand the power of positive thinking, I have included below several historic examples of figures who have changed the world by their positive thoughts. As you read the positive statements, imagine they are being said into the mirror, five times every morning. Then glance briefly at some of the direct results of their positive thinking.

Positive statements:

“I will ascend into heaven.”

“I will lift myself to the very pinnacle of my dreams.”

“I will be like God.”

“I will reach the peak of my destiny”

Lucifer is subsequently cast out of heaven. Hell is prepared as a place of eternal torment for him. One historian says of him, “O how thou art fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How thou art cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations.”

Positive statements:

“You will increase your learning.”

“You will become more like God.”

“You will know the things that are hidden from you.”

All humanity is cursed by God. The earth is corrupted. Death, sorrow, pain and suffering are introduced to all things, so that “The whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now.”

Positive statements:

“I am powerful.”

“I am skillful.”

“I am the greatest.”

The pride of the anti-Christ will not prevent his total annihilation. His armies are crushed. His power is overthrown. “The judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume it and destroy it unto the end.”

Truly, positive thinking is a powerful force in this world. Positive thinking has been a singular factor working throughout all of history, helping shape and direct the destiny of individuals and all mankind. “The sacrifices of the Lord are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.”
